Carroll Community College will host a President’s Day Open House from 1-4 p.m. at its campus in Westminster on Monday, Feb. 18 for high school students and their families to learn about the college and the programs it has to offer.
“The College is the affordable go-to choice of county residents for higher education,” College President Dr. James Ball said in statement. “We are so pleased to open our campus to high school students and their parents, and provide a comprehensive look at our programs, especially those designed to prepare students for the jobs of the future.”
Attendees will be able to attend a variety of 25-minute, smaller-group information sessions, according to a news release from the college.
The sessions will address “what it takes to graduate with an associate degree” and how to transfer to a four-year college or university, admissions steps and deadlines and extracurricular activities offered at the college, the release details.
Following the small group informative sessions in the Scott Center’s theater, attendees will have the opportunity to move into the Babylon Great Hall to speak with faculty experts about the job options and career prospects the various majors at the college prepare students for, according to the release.
