Simmons honored at Taney Corp.
Kenny Simmons has been awarded employee of the third quarter for 2020 at the Taney Corporation, a wood stairway and rail manufacturer located in Taneytown. Simmons has been with the company for four 4 years and oversees the maintenance department, keeping the everyday operations running by fixing and doing preventative maintenance. He has overhauled many machines making them safer and reliable.
Frank receives hospital award
Registered nurse Melissa Frank, discharge coordinator, recently received Carroll Hospital’s September DAISY Award. A nurse at the hospital for 13 years, Frank was recognized for going above and beyond her duties to help a patient avoid missing a meaningful event due to her hospitalization.
Carroll Hospital’s DAISY Award honors health care professionals at the hospital. It is given to a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse each month to recognize his or her efforts in delivering exceptional patient care.
Full Day Enterprise ranks in in Angus registrations
Full Day Enterprise, Woodbine, ranked as fifth largest in registering the most Angus beef cattle in Maryland with the American Angus Association during fiscal year 2020, which ended Sept. 30.
Angus breeders across the nation in 2020 registered 305,531 head of Angus cattle. The American Angus Association is the nation’s largest beef breed organization, serving nearly 25,000 members across the United States, Canada and several other countries. The Association provides programs and services to farmers, ranchers and others who rely on Angus to produce quality genetics for the beef industry and quality beef for consumers.
