Davis joins Kairos Wealth Advisors
Mendel Davis, CRPC, MBA has joined Kairos Wealth Advisors of Raymond James, a local financial planning practice in Westminster serving clients in 32 states. As a financial adviser, Davis and his team at Kairos provide retirees, business owners, widows and young professionals with clarity and balance in managing their finances.
Davis holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from University of Baltimore and a Master of Business Administration from University of Maryland. He has earned the Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor designation through the College for Financial Planning. Prior to his arrival at Kairos, Davis was an assistant vice president at JPMorgan Chase.
Wright named patient care tech of year
Antoinette Wright was named Carroll Hospital’s 2021 Patient Care Tech of the Year on June 16. A hospital team member since 2018, Wright was chosen for her compassion, patience and teamwork skills as part of the hospital’s patient care tech team.
Co-workers repeatedly nominated Wright for her dedication to patients. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she consistently went above and beyond her duties to provide exemplary care, to talk and connect with patients, making them feel as comfortable as possible during their stay.
The Patient Care Tech of the Year is selected based on nominations from co-workers and the award is presented annually during Patient Care Tech Week in June.
Ridgell receives DAISY Award
Registered nurse Kristi Ridgell, intermediate care unit, was presented with Carroll Hospital’s June DAISY Award. A nurse at the hospital since 2017, Ridgell was recognized for going above and beyond her duties to follow up with a patient and ensure he received the medical intervention he needed at home.
Carroll Hospital’s DAISY Award honors outstanding health care professionals at the hospital. It is given to a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse each month to recognize his or her extraordinary efforts in delivering exceptional patient care.
