Rao and Ogriki named physicians of month

Anita Rao, M.D., critical care hospitalist, and Tolulope Ogriki, M.D., adult hospitalist, have been chosen as Carroll Hospital’s September and October Physicians of the Month, respectively.
Affiliated with the hospital since 2020, Dr. Rao was recognized for her compassion and extraordinary efforts to go above and beyond her duties when she visited a patient’s worried family members to discuss the patient’s care.
Dr. Ogriki, who has been affiliated with the hospital for two years, was also recognized for her compassionate and high quality care when she took time out of her busy schedule to sit with and assist a gravely ill patient before the patient’s transfer to hospice care.

Each month, Carroll Hospital recognizes the patient care achievements of physicians, as well as advanced practice providers with a program called Physician/Provider WOW Service Awards. From a year’s worth of Physician or Provider of the Month winners, one Physician of the Year and one Advanced Practice Provider of the Year is selected.
Community members and hospital associates are encouraged to nominate a medical professional who has demonstrated a special dedication and devotion to patients in a variety of ways. For more information, call 410-871-6899.
