Carroll Hospital Center announced the addition of several new providers to its repertoire of health care specialists at Carroll Health Group, the hospital's affiliated multi-specialty practice group.
Dr. Katherine Sampene, obstetrics/gynecologist, is joining Carroll Health Group OB/GYN. Sampene earned her medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and completed her residency at Magee-Womens Hospital of UPMC in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Certified nurse midwife Nancy Prothero, also is joining Carroll Health Group OB/GYN. A member of the American College of Nurse Midwives, Prothero comes to Carroll Health Group with 15 years of experience. She received her Master of Science degree in nursing and midwife certification from Marquette University in Milwaukee. She also earned her Bachelor of Science in nursing degree from University of Wisconsin–Green Bay in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
Sampene and Prothero are accepting new patients at Carroll Health Group OB/GYN in Westminster and Eldersburg. In Westminster, Carroll Health Group OB/GYN is located in the Fisher Medical Building at 193 Stoner Ave., Suite 300. In Eldersburg, Carroll Health Group OB/GYN is located inside the South Carroll Health & Wellness Pavilion at 1380 Progress Way, Suite 102.
Dr. Leila Maybodi is joining Carroll Health Group Neurology, seeing patients with Dr. Sandra Ruby, neurologist and medical director of Carroll Hospital Center's stroke program. Board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, Dr. Maybodi earned her medical degree at The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences in Washington, D.C. She completed her residency at University of Cincinnati Medical Center in Cincinnati, Ohio, in neurology. She also completed her fellowship at Columbia University Medical Center in New York, New York, in movement disorders, and at the New Jersey Medical School in Newark, New Jersey, in neuromuscular medicine and electromyography.
Maybodi is accepting new patients at Carroll Health Group Neurology. The office is located in the Fisher Medical Building, 193 Stoner Ave., Suite 310, in Westminster.
