The student-founded McDaniel College Rotaract Club, a service and leadership organization officially chartered by Rotary International, held its inaugural ceremony Oct. 6. The event was attended by members of the four Carroll County Rotary Clubs — Westminster, Sykesville, Mount Airy and Bonds Meadow — which sponsor the organization, as well as district leadership. During the evening, community Rotarians presented McDaniel College club members with various tools to help further their service to the community and to the world. The officers received their pins and the Rotary bell was rung at the conclusion of the ceremony.
