A joint worship service featuring the combined choirs of Westminster United Methodist Church and First Presbyterian Church of Westminster will take place at 7 p.m. Maundy Thursday, April 2, at First Presbyterian, 65 Washington Road, Westminster.
In addition to Scripture readings and prayer, the combined choirs, accompanied by a chamber orchestra, will present the cantata "Song of the Shadows" by Joseph M. Martin. The cantata is an invitation to contemplate the love and sacrifice of Christ as it shares the biblical story of events on Maundy Thursday through Good Friday of Holy Week.
A freewill offering will be collected for donation to a local charitable organization.
