The public is invited to the annual candlelight worship service in the historic Log Meetinghouse at the Strawbridge Shrine in New Windsor. The service of lessons and carols will begin at 4:30 p.m. Dec. 14.
The song leader will be curator Helen Kemp. The Rev. Edgardo Rivera, United Methodist district superintendent, will bring the message.
The original Log Meetinghouse, constructed by Robert Strawbridge, was used by early followers of John Wesley from 1764-1768. The present replica was constructed in 1982 and is on the campus of the Strawbridge Shrine on Strawbridge Lane, off Wakefield Valley Road.
Those attending the service are advised to dress warmly.
