Gabriel Iglesias

Iglesias has been seen on Comedy Central as the host of "Stand-Up Revolution" and in his three original stand-up specials. His style is soft-edged and light-hearted but very personal.

Big Premiere
"2001: A Space Odyssey"
The word: Even those who have seen Stanley Kubrick's science fiction epic a dozen times haven't truly seen the film until viewing it on the big screen. What seems slow and ponderous on a small television becomes epic and engrossing in a large theater. With this, the Senator Theatre in Baltimore continues its revival series of screening classic films. The 20-minute dialogue-free Star Gate sequence seems a lot less indulgent, and a lot more engrossing, when projected high on a 25-foot screen.
Details: "2001: A Space Odyssey" will play 7 p.m. Tuesday at The Senator Theatre, 5904 York Road, Baltimore. For tickets, visit http://www.thesenatortheatre.com or call 410-323-4424.
