Big Premiere

'Sin City: A Dame to Kill For'

The film, co-directed by "Desperado" and "Spy Kids" helmer Robert Rodriguez and comic book artist Frank Miller, adapts two of Millers' most famous "Sin City" stories, along with two pieces invented solely for the film.

Details: "Sin City: A Dame to Kill For" premieres Friday in theaters nationwide, including Regal Westminster 9. For show time information, call 410-857-1422.

Opeth

'Pale Communion'

The Word: Each of the 10 albums in Swedish metal band Opeth's discography has charted higher than the last. Frontman Mikael Akerfeldt has said that each Opeth album is intended to be experienced as a whole, and the band often shies away from releasing singles of their music. The band's particular brand of metal utilizes blues, classical and jazz influences. They first gained notice in the U.S. with the release of their album "Watershed" in 2008.
