Omicron Chapter welcomes new members

New members were inducted into Omicron Chapter, Delta Kappa Gamma, at its May 12 meeting at Carroll County Career and Technology Center in Westminster.

Laura McClelland, membership committee chair, led the induction ceremony.

Omicron's Grants-in-Aid Award recipient Sarah Brown was a guest at the dinner meeting. Brown just received her Master of Science degree in secondary education, social studies, from McDaniel College. She completed her internship this spring at Shiloh Middle School and Francis Scott Key High School.

Dinner was prepared and served by Carroll County Career and Technology Center culinary students and instructor Tim Norwood. Omicron made a donation to the culinary program. A donation was also made to Carroll County String Project in memory of member Gale Bixler.

Delta Kappa Gamma is an international society for key women educators. Omicron is the local chapter of Carroll County women educators.
