There are many appealing aspects to yoga, including increased flexibility, relaxation, strength, improved balance, as well as stress relief and pain relief. No experience necessary. Mommy and Me Laughter Yoga: 2 p.m. For ages 3-12. In this unique class we will open up a space where we can laugh, be silly, and release the splendor of our inner child with our children who are already masters of laughing for no reason. We will tap into this infinite well of happiness, love, and laughter through a brief introduction, warm ups, laughter games, and relaxation. These classes will be kept laid back, appropriate, and engaging for all ages. Older children (like dads) are also warmly welcomed. Prerequisites: Some experience with laughter and a sense of humor preferred, ho-ho-ho. All attendees need to register.
Paint Night FUNdraiser: 6:30-9:30 p.m. For adults. Try your hand at painting and support the library. Join us at an after-hours paint night event to benefit The Gallery at Eldersburg Branch Library. Paint nights are part painting class and part night out. Together, we'll paint a beautiful blue crab, which you can give to your favorite crab lover or hang in any room of your home or office. No experience is necessary. This program is designed for adults, 21 and older. Tickets include all supplies and two drink vouchers. Refreshments will be served. There are many options besides East Coast beaches that are affordable for travel. The Caribbean islands and Mexico require a passport, but are an easy three-hour flight from Baltimore (instead of the drive) at a similar cost.
