Carroll Night Out: Joe Forrester brings back music of Elvis to the Carroll Arts Center

Check out some unchained melodies as Elvis tribute artist Joe Forrester returns to the Carroll Arts Center for a little less conversation and a lot more action from the king of rock and roll this Friday. If you can't get enough live music, head over to Carroll Community College on Saturday for a performance by the Westminster Symphony Orchestra. Elvis and the Roadrunners

Elvis tribute artist Joe Forrester and his band the Roadrunners will take the stage at the Carroll Arts Center for this fundraiser for the Manchester Lions Club. During the show, Forrester embodies Elvis' jumpsuited era of the 1970s. Money raised at the event will go to support the Manchester Lions Club's scholarship program.

Westminster Symphony Orchestra

Students from Carroll Community and McDaniel colleges will come together for a performance of the Westminster Symphony Orchestra on Saturday. The concert, titled "Many Moods" will feature performers from both schools as well as faculty member Alice Tung, a member of the Maryland Symphony and Gettysburg Chamber Orchestra. The show will be directed by Linda Kirkpatrick with Cindy Rosenberg serving as assistant director.

Looking Ahead

Mid-Maryland Celtic Festival

The area's largest Celtic festival returns next weekend, bringing with it Irish and Scottish games, music, food, dance and more. The Celtic Festival features a car show, dozens of bagpipers, beer and whisky tastings, dog shows and events as well as live performers.
