Musician Ahren Buchheister performs regionally with the bands Black Rhinoceros and Pompeii Graffiti. Saturday, Buchheister will host a guitar workshop on "How to be a Killer Sideman" at 3 p.m. at Carroll Community College. Black Rhinoceros, consists of Buchheister on the guitar and Erin Snedecor on the cello as they perform nerd rock, including the single "Gaius" based on the character from the television show "Battlestar Galactica." Pompeii Graffiti is an indie rock band, based out of Annapolis, who has released two studio albums, "Five Minutes to Midnight" and "ANNAPOLITAN." Each group will perform in this concert at Carroll Community College.

Ken Kolodner and Elke Baker concert
Baltimore hammered Dulcimer player Ken Kolodner and National Scottish Fiddle Champion Elke Baker will perform together at Springfield Presbyterian Church Sunday in celebration of their new album. "Out of the Wood" represents the duo's first collaborative album, after years of guest appearances on each others' songs. Collectively, Kolodner and Baker have released more than 20 albums. These musicians play a mixture of Scottish, Quebecois and Irish music, as well as original pieces and moments of twin fiddling.

Boston Terrier Club of Maryland dog show
The Boston Terrier Club of Maryland will host their 75th annual Black-Eyed Specialty Dog Show from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, April 11 and Sunday, April 12 at the Carroll County Agriculture Center. The event will feature dog show competitions, a parade of rescue dogs, champions and title holders, an exhibition hall and training classes. This year, the show will feature a new beginner puppy competition, for dogs between the age of four and six months.
