Oscar-Nominated Shorts

Each year the Film Lovers in Carroll County bring the best in short-form entertainment to the Carroll Arts Center with their Oscar-Nominated Shorts marathon. This year, the event is being held in time for audiences to make up their minds about who should win in February's Academy Awards ceremony. The program begins with live-action shorts, followed by a 15-minute intermission and then screenings of the animated shorts. In total, the marathon runs 3 hours. The films featured come from around the world, and tackle subjects as varied as the life of a bear, to cosmonaut friends to the Kosovo War.
