Raymond and Cyndy Howes, of Taneytown, announce the engagement of their daughter, Katlyn Howes, of Arlington, Va., to Ryan Bennett, of Arlington, son of Dale and Donna Bennett, of Woodbine.
The bride-to-be is a 2005 graduate of Delone Catholic High School and a 2009 graduate of Elizabethtown College. She teaches seventh and eighth grade English in Stafford County, Va.
The groom-to-be is a 2004 graduate of Fork Union Military Academy and a 2009 graduate of Kansas State University. He is working on his master's degree in agricultural business at Kansas State. He is working as a lobbyist for the National Milk Producer's Federation in Arlington.
A July 6 wedding is planned.
