For the second straight year, Friendship Baptist Church collected donations for Operation Christmas Child. Not only do church volunteers collect the donations, they have a packing party event, a day to pack up all the donations they receive from members and regular church attendees. This year, they were able to fill more than 1,300 boxes to help make Christmas a little more special for children who might otherwise miss out. Many of the Friendship volunteers then went to the Operation Christmas Child Distribution Center in Columbia to stuff even more boxes. Friendship Baptist Church is at 1391 Sykesville Road in Sykesville.
