Ascension to host Special Needs Easter Egg Hunt, April 20

Church of the Ascension, located at 23 N. Court Street in Westminster, will host its annual Special Needs Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 20 at 2 p.m.

The hunt is open to all individuals with disabilities. Participants must be accompanied by a caregiver. Calvary UMC to offer active shooter program, April 12

In recognition and response to increasing acts of violence being committed in public places, Calvary United Methodist Church in Mount Airy and its Safe Church Committee are sponsoring “How to Respond to an Active Assailant,” a public presentation on Friday, April 12, beginning at 7 p.m. in Good Shepherd Hall. Calvary UMC is located at 403 S. Main St. in Mount Airy.

The program has been organized by the Mt. Airy Police Department (MAPD) and will be presented by the Carroll County Sheriff’s Department. All members of the Calvary congregation, members of other local churches and local residents are invited to attend. So, too, are representatives of local businesses and other organizations who frequently convene group meetings.

Mount Airy Bible to hold simulcast for women, April 6

Mount Airy Bible Church is inviting the public to attend the Going Beyond Simulcast with Priscilla Shirer, formerly known as the Priscilla Shirer Simulcast, on April 6 in an effort to bring women together in worship. The simulcast event begins at 9:45 a.m. and ends at 5:30 p.m., on April 6. This is a women’s only event and costs $25 per person which includes lunch.
