On March 8, at 1 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., join us for the classic film “Lawrence of Arabia,” presented by the Film Lovers in Carroll County (FLICC). Come see this film on the big screen, as it was meant to be seen. British Lieutenant T.E. Lawrence (Peter O’Toole) heads to Arabia to find Prince Faisal (Alec Guinness) and serve as a liaison between the Arabs and the British in their fight against the Turks. With the aid of native Sherif Ali (Omar Sharif), Lawrence rebels against orders and strikes out on a daring camel journey across the harsh desert. Tickets are $7 for adults and $6 for students and seniors.
The next night, Saturday, March 9, get in the mood for St. Patrick’s Day with Teelin Irish Dance! For two shows, at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m., they bring their innovative presentation that features spirited Irish dance and a variety of live Celtic music. Their thunderous percussive choreography is only surpassed by the thunderous applause. Tickets are $18 for adults and $14 for students and seniors, and they are sure to go fast! Thanks to Blair Reid and John Glenn for sponsoring this event.
Keep that Celtic energy going for the next weekend, March 15 and 16, when we present a perennial favorite, Barleyjuice! Philadelphia’s Celtic Rockers are back, along with their rowdy following of “Juicers.” Get your tickets early — they regularly sell out. The show is at 8 p.m. both Friday and Saturday night. Tickets are $30 for adults and $27 for students and seniors. Thanks to Dr. Patrick Gallagher, O’Lordan’s Irish Pub, and Ting for sponsoring this event!
Saturday, March 16 you’re invited to "Malt Shoppe Murder," a 1950s-themed murder mystery dinner party presented by Whodunnit for Hire and the Best Western Westminster, benefiting the Carroll County Arts Council. As a guest, you will participate with local actors to search for clues, interrogate suspects, and solve the case. Tickets are $75 and include a donation to the Carroll County Arts Council, entertainment, and a deluxe three-course dinner.
