German intern Melanie Wissmueller will bring the sermon at Calvary Lutheran Church on Sunday, Oct. 12, during both worship services – the contemporary service at 9 a.m. and the traditional service at 11 a.m.
At the 10 a.m. Sunday school hour, she invites all to a Powerpoint presentation about her home church, her hometown and the church in Germany in general.
Wissmueller is concluding her six weeks of internship at Calvary, where she has participated in all aspects of parish life: observing worship, Bible study, Wednesdays at Calvary programs and Sunday school as well as sitting in on council meetings and all ministry meetings.
