Holiday Hope: Now in 20th year, campaign seeks to raise $120,000 for local charities by Christmas

In 1999, the Carroll County Times announced a giving campaign called “Holiday Hope” to help raise money for local charities Carroll County Food Sunday and the Neighbors in Need program. The Times set a goal of $5,000 to be raised between Thanksgiving and Christmas. The campaign ultimately raised more than $20,000 that year.

As the Holiday Hope campaign enters its 20th year, it has helped raise approximately $2 million in total for associated charities. As has become tradition after surpassing the previous year’s goal, the Times has raised its target once again in 2018 and is hoping to surpass the $120,000 mark for the five partner charities by Christmas.

The Carroll County Times has teamed up with Carroll Food Sunday, Neighbors in Need Year Round, Carroll Hospice, Access Carroll and The Shepherd's Staff to help the less fortunate during the holidays. Donations will be published in this space as they are received now through Christmas Day.

Carroll Community Bank is once again assisting the Times in processing donations.
