Matthew Chrencik, of Finksburg, is studying in Nicosia, Cyprus this spring as part of a study abroad program at Susquehanna University in Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania. Chrencik is a biology major in the Class of 2017.
Alexis Cohen, of Finksburg, is one of four Stevenson University students to attend the recent 2016 Collegiate Information and Visitor Services Association conference at the Student Development Institute in Boston, Massachusetts. During the event, the students attended many sessions and group conversations which gave them the opportunity to interact with nearly 300 attendees from more than 60 institutions.

Alexander Eichler, of Westminster is one of 10 Stevenson University students who spent part of their winter break volunteering in New Orleans. The students are members of Mission: I'm Home, a student organization dedicated to rebuilding homes destroyed by natural disasters. This was Mission: I'm Home's ninth trip to New Orleans.

McDaniel College junior Andy Baranauskas, of Hampstead, and junior Steven Riddle, of Finksburg, were among eight students from the college chosen to participate in Maryland Independent Higher Education Day in Annapolis, Feb. 11.
Maryland Independent Higher Education Day is organized by the Maryland Independent College and University Association as a means to join together more than 150 college students and administrators to celebrate funding of the Sellinger Program, the Maryland grant program for eligible, nonprofit private colleges.
