Read and Play: 9:30 a.m. For ages birth-24 months, with accompanying caregiver. Join your little one at a storytime featuring interactive books, rhymes, music, and movement, followed by playgroup activities which allow children to practice skills and socialize.

Ready, Set, School: Messy: 10:30 a.m. For ages 3-6. An independent storytime that prepares children for school. Fun, hands-on activities will teach listening, pre-reading, math, movement, music, and art skills. All adult caregivers are welcome.

Read with a Furry Friend: 1 p.m. For ages 4-17. KPets' trained reading dogs provide a relaxed informal atmosphere for kids to practice reading. Every dog enjoys a good story.

Teen Advisory Board: 6 p.m. For ages 12-17. Calling all teens looking for leadership roles in planning library programs. We want you for our Teen Advisory Board. Meetings will start with snacks at 6 p.m., then we'll get down to business around 6:15 p.m. Need service hours? We've got those too. Refreshments will be served.

Medicare 102: 5 p.m. For adults. Are you or someone you care about eligible for Medicare? Come and find out how to get the most out of your Medicare health benefits. Medicare 102 covers the four parts of Medicare with a special focus on the Medigap plans. Learn about the different medigap plans and your period of Guaranteed Issue Rights. These secondary/supplemental plans can cover the deductibles and co-insurances not covered by Medicare. We will cover the Medicare Savings Programs (not all programs are low-income programs.) and healthcare fraud. Presented by Carroll County's SHIP/SMP program.

Paranormal Activity: A Celebration of "Ghostbusters"

6:30 p.m. Monday, July 11, Taneytown branch. For all ages. With a nod to the new "Ghostbusters" movie premiering this July, the Taneytown Branch invites you to join us in a celebration of all things paranormal. We will take over the branch with crafts, snacks, and ghoulish attacks. The Maryland Society for Paranormal Research will be joining the festivities with a presentation on past evidence they have captured and places they have investigated. Refreshments will be served.
