The event will focus on job opportunities and career options in the fields of information technology and cybersecurity, according to the release.

"Our students who come through the college's 'hands-on' cybersecurity program are well-prepared with the skills necessary for entry-level positions in the industry," Marlene Titus, the college's cyber technology navigator, said in the release. "This event provides students with the ability to speak to potential employers about future positions and internships in the comfortable atmosphere of the college campus before they take on the sometimes daunting application process."

Representatives from the following organizations will be present: Layer8; Systems Alliance; Expedient; Community Media Center of Carroll County; CompuGroup Medical; Tomlin Technology; Koniag Technology Solutions; National Security Agency (NSA); InfoPathways; Carroll Community College; MD CyberWorks; NMR Consulting; Carroll Technology Council; Central MD Information Systems Security Association (ISSA); and WHO Staffing.

There is no cost, and both students and members of the community are invited to attend, according to the release. Participants are encouraged to bring copies of their resumes.

"By attending a career fair, students have a chance to network for future internships and jobs. They also learn about company specific requirements and standards," Director of Career Development Barbara Gregory said in the release.
