Local students have been named to the fall 2018 dean's list at Clemson University , in South Carolina. They are: Andrew E. Wilmer, of Hampstead, majoring in environmental engineering; Caitlin L. Darling, of Mount Airy, majoring in biological sciences; Heidi J. Griesbach, of Mount Airy, majoring in financial management; Wesley Daniel Norton, of Mount Airy, majoring in industrial engineering; Maura J. Pedersen, of Mount Airy, majoring in biological sciences; Sean Andrew Lippincott, of Sykesville, majoring in microbiology; Caleb T. Shumpert, of Sykesville, majoring in industrial engineering. Dean's list students achieved a grade-point average between 3.50 and 3.99 on a 4.0 scale.

Daniel Carr, of Westminster, was named to the fall 2018 dean's list at The College of Saint Rose, Albany, New York. Full-time undergraduate students who complete a minimum of 12 graded credit hours, and who achieve a semester average of 3.5 with no D, F, or Incomplete grade, are eligible for the dean's list.

Taylor Boeckmann, of Westminster, has been named to the dean's list for the fall 2018 semester at Marquette University , Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Boeckmann is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in environmental engineering.

Christine Lee, of Sykesville, was named to the dean's list for fall 2018 at Transylvania University, Lexington, Kentucky. Dean's list students must achieve at least a 3.5 grade point average during the term.

Catherine M. Downing, of Eldersburg, was part of the cast of "Almost, Maine," presented Feb. 21-24 at Bridgewater College, in Virginia. Downing is a senior English and theater double major.

Erin Cauley, of Mount Airy, achieved a perfect 4.0 GPA during the fall 2018 semester at Hofstra University , Hempstead, New York, earning a spot on the provost's list. Accalia Frey, of Woodbine; and Faith Schanck, of Marriottsville, were named to the fall 2018 dean's list at Hofstra. Students must earn a grade point average of at least 3.5 during the semester to make the dean's list.
