Kiley Allen, of Sykesville, was named to the honor roll for the fall 2018 semester at the University of Oklahoma Norman campus. In most colleges, students must earn a minimum 3.5 grade-point average on a 4.0 scale to be included, and be enrolled full time in at least 12 credit hours. Students in the College of Architecture are recognized with a 3.3 or better, and students in the College of Engineering are recognized with a 3.0 or better.

Lindsey Conely, of Woodbine, majoring in criminal justice/psychology major; and Erin Cutroneo, of Woodbine, majoring in international affairs, anthropology major, were named to the dean's list for the fall 2018 semester at Northeastern University , Boston, Massachusetts. To achieve dean's list, students must carry a full program of at least four courses, have a quality point average of 3.5 or greater out of a possible 4.0 and carry no single grade lower than a C- during the course of their college career.

The University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa , awarded some 2,065 degrees during its fall commencement on Dec. 15. Patrick M. Miller, of Taneytown, a sophomore majoring in meteorology, has been named to the president's list for the fall 2018 semester at SUNY Oswego, in New York. Miller was among SUNY Oswego students who achieved a grade point average of 3.80 and above on the 4.00 scale.
