McDaniel College named Vicky Shaffer as vice president for institutional advancement after serving in an interim capacity since May 2016.
Shaffer, of Westminster, comes to the job with 27 years of experience, in areas including strategic planning, technology and development support, according to a news release from the college.
She started at McDaniel as a prospect researcher, and has also held positions in advancement operations as assistant director of research and records, as well as director and executive director of advancement services, according to the release.
She also has served as staff administrator for the McDaniel College board of trustees’ Governance and Institutional Advancement committees, and helped develop a comprehensive plan for the college’s current Enduring Commitment fundraising initiative, according to the release.
Shaffer previously had significant involvement in Carpe Diem, the largest capital campaign in the college’s history as well as The Defining Moment, the college’s first major comprehensive fundraising effort under President Robert Chambers, according to the release.
