Birding enthusiasts joined Dave and Maureen Harvey of the Carroll County Bird Club on Thursday for a morning bird walk on the trails of Piney Run Park in Eldersburg. On what turned out to be a picture-perfect spring morning, the group saw and identified 32 bird species, including warblers, woodpeckers and hawks, a loon, a barred owl and a nesting bald eagle during the course of their two-hour walk. The Carroll County Bird Club will lead its next morning bird walk at Piney Run Park on Thursday, May 14.
