Fire crews from Carroll and Baltimore Counties responded to a house fire in the 3800 Block of Md. 91 Friday night, July 22, 2016. According to Bruce Bouch, a spokesman for the Gamber fire company, two firefighters were injured fighting the single-alarm fire, which was reported at 9:30 p.m. and took about 50 firefighters from Carroll and Baltimore Counties about 25 minutes to control. Bouch said four people were home at the time of the fire and have been displaced. According to Bouch, there were no working smoke detectors in the home at the time of the fire. Two firefighters from the Sykesville fire company were transported to Carroll Hospital Center for evaluation, one with an arm injury, and another with an ankle injury. The Office of the State Fire Marshal was called to the scene to investigate the blaze.
