OWINGS MILLS -- Baltimore Ravens left offensive tackle Bryant McKinnie was absent today from the start of training camp.
He has been placed on the reserve/did not report list.
"Well, he contacted us through a representative," Ravens coach John Harbaugh said. "He's dealing with an issue right now. I don't really want to speak for him on that. He can speak for himself on that."
McKinnie was paid a $500,000 roster bonus in March after pledging to general manager Ozzie Newsome that he would get in better shape.
McKinnie was held out of the Ravens' minicamp due to conditioning issues, but he has also dealt with lawsuits stemming from a lockout loan he took a year ago.
McKinnie has had multiple agents and financial advisors this offseason and no agent is currently listed for him with the NFL Players Association.
Michael Oher was the starting left tackle today at practice.
Harbaugh praised Oher, who started on the left side previously before shifting back to right tackle last season.
"Bryant is a good player," quarterback Joe Flacco said. "We need him here."
