Westminster library branch
The Westminster branch of the Carroll County Public Library, 50 E. Main St., Westminster, will offer the following programs this week. Registration is required only where noted. For more information, call 410-386-4488.

Tuesday
Story Pals - Seasons: 10 a.m. For ages 2-3. A theme-based story time featuring interactive and age-appropriate stories, songs, fingerplays, and activities. With an accompanying adult caregiver.
Read and Play: 11 a.m. For ages Birth-24 Months. A story time featuring lap games, tickles, bounces, and rhymes followed by a playgroup for meeting and mingling. With an accompanying adult caregiver.
Evening Story Time - Seasons: 7 p.m. For All Ages. End your day in a special way. This story time, open to all ages, introduces stories through books, songs, and activities. Children 3 and under must be accompanied by an adult caregiver.

In the Shadow of the Vampyre - A Mystery Program: 6 p.m. For ages 11-17. Register for this event today. Could she be the victim of a terrible accident at the KomikFest? But what about the bite marks on her neck? If you would like to help solve this case, come join us for a snack and a mystery. Refreshments will be served.
Songs at 6:30 Concert Series - Ron Zuskin & Friends: 6:30 p.m. For All Ages. Join us for this free evening concert series featuring local and regional musicians. Bring a blanket or chair and enjoy some terrific music. Sponsored by The City of Westminster, Downtown Westminster Main Street Program, and Coffey Music. Rain location - lower level of Longwell Parking Garage. Children 3 and under must be accompanied by an adult caregiver.

Friday
The Magic of Roger Lindsay: 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. For ages 4-Adults. Register for this event today. Summer Reading ambassador Roger Lindsay transports kids 4 to 104 to a realm of magical happenings, illusions, and laughter. Join Prop, the Magic Bunny, as he and Mr. Lindsay amaze and amuse in this show loaded with audience participation. You never know what surprises await you. All attendees need to register. This program is sponsored in part by a Community Arts Development Grant from the Carroll County Arts Council and the Maryland State Arts Council. READ Local with Dick Ellwood: 2 p.m. For Adults. Meet Dick Ellwood, retired Baltimore police officer and author of Cop Stories - The Few, the Proud, the Ugly and Charm City's Blue Justice. READ Local features a published author from the Carroll County community each month to meet and greet readers. Authors may have books available for purchase and signing.

Mr. Lemoncello's Great (Finksburg) Library Escape: 6 p.m. For ages 10-Adults. Register for this event today. Think you can solve a mystery & escape the Finksburg Branch Library? Put your skills to the test when we celebrate Chris Grabenstein's latest book, Escape from Mr. Lemoncello's Library, by hosting our very own scavenger hunt game at the Finksburg Branch. See if you can figure out all the clues in order to escape. The library will open at 6 pm for this special Friday evening event. Refreshments will be served. Only kids need to register.

Summer Sidewalk Spectacular: 10 a.m. For All Ages. Add your own creative touch to the Finksburg Branch. Join us Mondays this summer to give our walkways some fun flair. Program is weather permitting. Meet Levi - Seeing Eye Dog in Training: 1 p.m. For All Ages. Laurie Buckler has raised guide dogs for 20 years and she will share information about her family's 23rd dog and the guide dog program.
