Course explores Judaism

Carroll Lutheran Village will offer "Comparative Religions: Judaism" as part of the winter Lifelong Learning Series.

The Rev. Diane L. Day, associate chaplain at Carroll Lutheran Village and pastor at Jerusalem Lutheran Church in Westminster, is exploring five major religions in a series of courses offered through the Lifelong Learning Series at Carroll Lutheran Village.

The first session features a 30-minute video giving an overview of the religion followed by questions and answers. Subsequent class sessions include research, questions and additional discovery to give attendees a better understanding of the practices of the religion and how they compare to other religions.

A focus on Christianity was held in the fall of 2013. Future courses will focus on Islam, Buddhism and Hinduism.
