Jewish War Veterans of the U.S.A. hosted its annual Chanukah party at the Lt. Peter G. Zouck military Post 521, located in Owings Mills, Maryland. Three Jewish War Veterans Posts, participated with this holiday event.

These posts included Maryland Free State Post #167, Rodger C. Snyder Post #117 and Paul D. Savanuck Post #888 and all the Ladies Auxiliaries of these listed Posts.

Every person attending, brought a Chanukah/Christmas gift to be distributed to the many baby/kid and young adult patients at Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital, during the holiday season. This meaningful gift giving to patients hospitalized at Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital has been an annual event for mega years.

Accepting the many lovely holiday gifts on behalf of Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital was very appreciative Sheldon Stein, President and CEO. Also attending from the hospital were Sue Stein and Tom Pollin, Director of External Affairs.

Working diligently coordinating this annual event was (Ret.) Col. Erwin Burtnick, Commander, Jewish War Veterans of Maryland also behind the scene Craig Rabinowitz, Rona and Lindsay Barrish. Mega thanks everyone.

Among the 100 Jewish War Veterans, their spouses, friends and guests, listing only a few due to space limitations Commander Bill Miller, Commander, Post 521, Richard Udoff, a past VFW Commander Post 521, also a past Maryland "State Commander" Veterans of Foreign Wars plus a past Commander of a Jewish War Veterans Post. Richard has been dedicated to military leadership for many years and has been a very valuable mentor to many veterans in leadership positions. Thanks Richard! You are a definite asset to everyone in the military, past and present!

Vintage Entertainment starring Trish and Frank Curreri aka "Peggy Lee and her Men" provided the enjoyable musical entertainment.

Jewish War Veterans Chanukah 2013 was a mega success and the patients at Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital were the very appreciative beneficiaries of the many lovely and useful holiday presents.

Again, thank you to all the Jewish War Veterans for your continued generosity every year.

Special thanks also Mark Mentz, event fotog.

Additional kudos: In addition to above listed Richard Udoff, special recognition to Jacob Hodes for being included in the Baltimore Business Journal's 40 under 40. Great!
