Terry Lee "Blue Smoke" Myers, 58, of Woodsboro, died Monday, March 18, 2013.
Born March 14, 1955, in Frederick, he was the son of the late Luther Myers and Mary C. Fogle Myers. He was the husband of Barbara E. Myers, his wife of 36 years.
He worked as a truck driver for Charlie Mehring, driving for Battlefield Transport of Keymar. He had also driven for Home Run, Agmark, Hostetter Grain, Willards, and many others when he was self-employed.
He enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren. He also enjoyed flowers and plants, having more than 30 jade trees. He was a bird enthusiast, having raised exotic birds. He and his son, Adam, enjoyed building bird houses, benches and shelves from wood.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are sons Chris Myers, of Salisbury, and Adam Myers, of Woodsboro; daughters Lisa Kreiner, of Thurmont, Tina Myers, of Keymar, and Alice Myers, of Woodsboro; grandchildren Labella Kreiner, Byron Zimmerman, Alena Myers and Gage Klotz; and a sister, Tammie Fitzgerald, of New Windsor.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, April 7, at Terra Rubra Lions Activities Building, 6300 Middleburg Road, Keymar.
Memorial contributions may be sent to his wife to help defray funeral expenses.
