Women's basketball: Mount stuns Seton Hall

SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. - Sydney Henderson and Selina Mann went 10-for-10 from the free throw line in the final two minutes to help Mount St. Mary's clinch a 74-64 victory against Seton Hall in non-conference women's basketball action on Sunday.

The win was the Mount's (4-4) first victory against a BCS school in Mount Division I history.

Henderson paced the Mountaineers with her second double-double of the season after tallying 27 points and 10 rebounds while Mann posted 10 points, seven assists and four steals in the winning effort. After the Pirates (3-7) trimmed the margin to 62-57 with 3:09 on the clock, Mann and Henderson combined to convert all 10 free throws over the final 106 seconds to seal the victory.

Jessie Kaufman added 16 points and Jacqueline Brewer chipped in eight.

With the Pirates holding a 48-45 lead with 12:16 left, Mount St. Mary's rolled off the next 13 points to take a 58-48 advantage. Mann started the run with two free throws at 11:42 before Kayla Grossett converted two charity tosses at the 11-minute mark to give the Mount the lead for good.

Henderson then hit 1 of 2 at the line at 10:05 before Mann nailed a jumper at 9:29 for a four-point edge. Kaufman drained a 3-ball at 8:44 and Henderson nailed a trey at 7:58 for a 10-point lead.

Seton Hall cut the margin to five points twice, but could get no closer after Mann and Henderson finished the Mount victory at the free throw line.
