NAVY MEN'S TENNIS:
East Carolina bounced back after dropping the doubles point to defeat the Mids team, 5-2, Sunday morning at the ECU Tennis Center in Greenville, N.C.
Navy (3-3) secured the doubles point against the Pirates (5-1) with wins at Nos. 2 and 3 doubles and a near win at the No. 1 flight.
Blake Daniel and Calvin Mark combined for a 6-3 win at No. 2 doubles, and Alex Gaines and Krishna Jana won their No. 3 match by an identical score.
At No. 1 doubles, Navy's Austin Jones and Thomas Pecor were about to serve for the match with a 5-2 lead against Colin Roller and Joran Vliegen, the 53rd-ranked tandem in the country, when play was stopped due to the Mids earning the doubles point.
TOWSON WOMEN'S BASKETBALL:
The University of Delaware opened the game on a 24-7 run and claimed a 69-44 win over the Tigers on Sunday in Colonial Athletic Association play. Senior guard Tanisha McTiller led the Tigers with 18 points and three steals.
NAVY WOMEN'S TENNIS:
The Navy women's tennis team (7-1) completed a 4-0 weekend by defeating George Mason (2-4), 5-2, and Morgan State (0-1), 7-0, on Sunday at the Tose Family Tennis Center. Navy has now won six straight matches and extends its program record home winning streak to 22 matches.
Navy was a dominating 10-1 in the 11 singles matches that were contested on Sunday.
Navy also defeated George Washington, 4-3, and Villanova, 6-1, on Saturday.
