Kershner recognized the outgoing executive committee with gifts of appreciation for their many efforts and time spent during the past two years. Parliamentarian Helen Wolfe honored the president for her energy, creativity and enthusiasm during the past two years with a contribution to the Westminster Library Sculpture Garden in her name.

Officers installed for 2012-14 are: president, Suzanne Albert; vice president, Nancy James; recording secretary, Kathy Rittler; corresponding secretary, Marge Simmons; and treasurer, Barbara Gunther.

Four members shared their hopes and wishes for the club's success in the future, which included learning about more issues in the community, working with senior citizens, being mentors and continuing in the arts area.

Jo Harp announced that a monetary donation was given to the Ronald McDonald House in Baltimore.

The guest speaker was Michelle Shearer, National Teacher of the Year for 2011.
