The head of the Republican National Committee is slated to speak next month in Anne Arundel County.

Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus will be the keynote speaker at the Anne Arundel GOP's 2014 Lincoln-Reagan Day Celebration.

The event will be held at Michael's Eighth Avenue in Glen Burnie on April 15, deadline day for Republicans (and Democrats) to file their tax returns.

The Lincoln-Reagan Day Celebration is the main annual fundraising effort for the Republican State Central Committee of Anne Arundel County.

Priebus is serving his second term as chair of the RNC. He was elected in 2011, replacing Michael Steele, former lieutenant governor of Maryland.

Prior to heading the RNC, Priebus served as chairman of the Republican Party of Wisconsin.

The event is scheduled from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Priebus' remarks are scheduled to start at about 8 p.m.

Individual tickets for the event are $75, while VIP tickets are $250 and a 10-guest package is $700. Sponsorship packages are also available at prices ranging from $1,250 to $5,000.

Last year, National Rifle Association President David Keene spoke at the event.
