In Tom Zirpoli's recent opinion column, "Some apologies have a hollow ring," he criticized Florida Republicans, especially the governor, for attempting to improve the voting process in their home state.
He inferred that the current attempts to improve the voting process are paramount to discrimination to minorities in Florida. To support the argument, he quotes a former governor saying Scott's efforts were attempts to suppress the minority vote.
Nevertheless, Zirpoli is silent when the Maryland Republican voters, a minority in Maryland, are disenfranchised by the recent gerrymandering of voting districts. It appears that actual discrimination by the Maryland Democratic majority is acceptable.
I wonder whose intelligence is actually being insulted.
