Story Pals: Sweet Treats: 10 a.m. For ages 2-3. A theme-based story time featuring interactive and age-appropriate stories, songs, fingerplays, and activities. With an accompanying adult caregiver.

Read and Play: 11 a.m. For ages Birth-24 Months. A story time featuring lap games, tickles, bounces, and rhymes followed by a playgroup for meeting and mingling. With an accompanying adult caregiver.

Evening Story time: Sweet Treats: 7 p.m. For All Ages. End your day in a special way! This story time, open to all ages, introduces stories through books, songs, and activities. Children 3 and under must be accompanied by an adult caregiver.

Dan Brown at Lincoln Center Live Stream: 7:30 p.m. For Adults. Dan Brown, #1 international bestselling author, is coming to Lincoln Center to speak about his new novel Inferno (on-sale May 14th), science, religion, codes, book publishing, movie making, and a few surprise topics. This will be his only public appearance in the US. All attendees need to register.

Friday

Come Learn with Me @ the Library: Rhyming: 10 a.m. For ages Birth-5. Please join us for a playgroup for children and their caretakers to learn and play together! This special program will feature a variety of play centers and will include time for reading, artwork, lots of play and plenty of surprises, all while building skill development and school readiness! Space is limited and registration is required. Please register children only, but an adult is expected to attend with the child. In partnership with the Kiwanis Club of Westminster.

Saturday

And They're Off! Preakness in the Park: 11 a.m. For All Ages. Celebrate the Preakness in the Mary Lou Dewey Sculpture Park at the Westminster Branch. Activities for the young and young-at-heart include relay races, a stomp the fly contest, a sugar-cube-in-the-haystack search, a scavenger hunt for horse items, and creating your own hat for the Preakness Celebration. Adults will have the opportunity to compete (and win a prize) for the most extravagant Preakness hat award. Refreshments will be served. Children 3 and under must be accompanied by an adult caregiver. This program is sponsored in part by a Community Arts Development Grant from the Carroll County Arts Council and the Maryland State Arts Council. LifeBeats - Rhythm & Relaxation for Seniors: 2 p.m. For Adults. Seniors, join us for a unique wellness journey that combines relaxation, gentle exercise, and recreational drumming using the HealthRHYTHMS® protocol. This program will be led by a trained HealthRHYTHMS® facilitator. No prior musical experience necessary. Instruments will be provided.

Monday

Alphabet Train: Letters X, Y & Z: 11 a.m. For ages 3-6. Climb aboard each week to explore a different letter of the alphabet through books, songs, and activities. All adult caregivers are welcome.
