Congressman Andy Harris, who is Maryland's only sitting Republican Congressman, endorsed Michael Hough for State Senate to represent Frederick and Carroll counties.
Congressman Andy Harris explained, "Having served in the State Senate, I know how important it is to have conservatives who will stand up against the liberal majority in Annapolis. I fully endorse Michael Hough for State Senate because I know he will fight for lower taxes, never vote for a tax increase and oppose wasteful government spending."
Michael Hough explained, "I am honored to have the endorsement of a strong conservative leader like Congressman Andy Harris. He knows that I am the true conservative running for State Senate and I will fight back against higher taxes, and Obamacare in Maryland."
Congressman Andy Harris served in the Maryland Senate from 1998 to 2011. Since then he has represented the First District of Maryland in the House of Representatives, which includes parts of Carroll County.
Congressman Harris continued, "Michael Hough has shown in the House of Delegates that you can stick to your conservative principles and still be effective. Michael will make a great State Senator."
Congressman Harris joins a growing list of endorsements for Michael Hough including; Former Congressman Roscoe Bartlett, Frederick County Commissioner Blaine Young, Delegate Kathy Afzali, Frederick County Commissioner Kirby Delauter, Delegate Justin Ready (Carroll County) and Delegate Neil Parrott (Washington County). He was also endorsed by Red Maryland, a conservative online publication.
