Tevis College Arts Scholarship winners announced

In recognition of their artistic promise, these talented students were awarded $750 college scholarships from the Carroll County Arts Council.

Century: Lauren Siminski, MICA - Illustration & Design

FSK: Melissa Williams, McDaniel College - Music Education

Liberty: Katherine Frye, Virginia Commonwealth - Painting

Manchester Valley: Juliana Ottomano, McDaniel College - Graphic Design

North Carroll: Makayla Morton, Philadelphia Univ. - Fashion Design

South Carroll: Taylor Rieland, Towson, Acting

Westminster: Savannah Myers, UMBC - Animation

Winters Mill: Katherine Stein, McDaniel College - Art History

The Carroll County Arts Council awards the Tevis College Art Scholarships to an outstanding student from each of the public high schools in Carroll County. The scholarships are awarded in memory of Dorothy Tevis, a devoted patron of the arts in Carroll County. Funds were provided by a bequest from Mrs. Tevis as well as contributions made to the Arts Council in her memory. Winners are chosen by a review panel from each school and are based on artistic promise.
