Letter: Candidate seeks support

The election of 2012 will no doubt go down in history as a turning point election.

Will America turn away from the path of 2008 that featured the election of President Barrack H. Obama and Representative Chris Van Hollen of District 8 of the U. S. Congress?

Their policies have resulted in less freedom and more dependency. The policies of Obama and Van Hollen have resulted in fewer jobs and more debt.

It is time to change course. I'm asking for your vote in the Republican primary on April 3 in the new 8th Congressional District.

My values and views have been shaped by growing up in Carroll County and graduating from South Carroll High School. I've also been blessed with the opportunity of owning a small business for over 30 years.

We need more members of Congress who understand what it means to be responsible for meeting and exceeding customer expectations. We need more members of Congress who understand that Washington's out of control over-regulation blocks businesses from creating the good jobs we need to get our economy back to work.

It would be an incredible honor and privilege to serve as your voice in the United States Congress representing Carroll, Frederick and Montgomery counties in District 8.

I hope to earn your trust and your vote,

Dave Wallace

Finksburg

The writer is a Republican candidate for U.S. Congress representing District 8.
