Mary Elizabeth Garman Bean, 85, of Reisterstown
Mary Elizabeth Garman Bean, 85 years old of Reisterstown, died Thursday, July 25, 2013 at the Northwest Hospital Center. Born December 3, 1927 in Reisterstown, she was the daughter of the late George S. Garman and Carrie M. Byerly Garman. She was the wife of the late Raymond Thomas Bean who passed in 1989.
She was a graduate of Franklin High School and Towson State Teachers College. She retired after teaching at both Owings Mills and Reisterstown Elementary Schools. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Democratic Club, Kickers Club and the Owings Mills Walkers. She participated in water aerobics at Brick Bodies, enjoyed the beach at Ocean City, traveling and cruising.
She is survived by her children and their spouses, R.Thomas Bean, Jr. and his wife Lyndia of Reisterstown, Karen and Lee Erdman of York, Pa., grandchildren, Elizabeth White, Sarah Hamill, Jordan Bean, great granddaughter Alice White and brother James D. Garman.
Services were held July 29. Rev. Tim Feaser officiating. Interment in St. Paul's Cemetery in Arcadia.

Robert Bruce Ditman, 87, of Reisterstown
Robert Bruce Ditman, 87 years old of Reisterstown, died Monday, July 22, 2013 at the Dove House in Westminster. Born October 8, 1925 in Ohio, he was the son of the late Carl Lambert Ditman and Ethel Marie Hazlett Ditman. He was the husband of Bettie Lee Worrell Ditman for 66 years.
He served honorably with the United States Marine Corps in WWII. He was an artist and painter. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Reisterstown.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Donna D. Diotalevi of Valrico, Fla., Brian D. Ditman of Manchester and five grandsons, Nick, Brett and Zach Diotalevi and Tim and Dan Ditman.
Interment with Military Honors at Evergreen Memorial Gardens July 27.

Joan H. Mersinger, 82, formerly of Glyndon
Joan H. Mersinger, 82 died on July 14, 2013 at her Carroll Lutheran home. Born on January 10, 1931 in Baltimore to the late Roy and Grace Roberta Beauchamp Hoffman. She was married to the late Col. Eugene Lawrence Mersinger.
She was a founding member of Historic Glyndon and served as its first president. She belonged to the League of Women Voters and was a founding member of the Glyndon Quilters whose quilts were donated to various local charities. She delivered Meals on Wheels in the Reisterstown and Glyndon area and helped with fundraising for Muscular Dystrophy.
She is survived by her children; Duston Mersinger and wife Dolly of Hampstead, Christine Supik and husband Robert of Cockeysville, Mark Mersinger and wife Wendy of Colorado and Jon Mersinger and Jeanne Emge of Westminster, niece Roberta Pryor and husband Randy of Texas, Grandchildren Sarah Rhodes and husband Andrew, Blair Mersinger and fiancé Zlatko Pasalic, Scott, David and Nicholas Mersinger, grand nephew John McCutchen, sister Linda Broadfoot.
A memorial gathering was held at Eline Funeral Home, 11824 Reisterstown Road, Reisterstown, July 27. Interment Private. Online condolences may be sent to http://www.ElineFuneralHome.com.
