Ronald W. "Wayne" Creasy, 67, of Westminster, died Tuesday, April 22, 2014, at home.
Born Jan. 20, 1947, in Lynchburg, Va., he was the son of the late Raleigh and Flossie Dodson Creasy. He was the husband of Merrie Shackelford Creasy, whom he married June 22, 1968.
He was a claims representative for State Farm Insurance. Prior to that, he had worked as a car salesman for Griffith Auto and Wheeler, and as a manager for Leggetts. In his younger days in Virginia, he sold real estate and was a school principal. He received his master's degree in education from Lynchburg College.
He was an avid golfer, a fan of the Washington Redskins, enjoyed building model cars and planes and especially enjoyed being around his family and grandchildren.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are sons and daughters-in-law Michael W. Creasy and Alice Duong, of Shanghai, China, and Todd H. and Heather Creasy, of Gaithersburg; a sister, Zelda Bosta, of Lynchburg; and grandchildren William, Henry, Julia and Ben.
He was predeceased by a sister, Jean Harvey.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday at Pritts Funeral Home & Chapel, 412 Washington Road, Westminster.
Services and interment will be private.

Cremation arrangements were handled by Pritts Funeral Home & Chapel in Westminster.
