Leota F. Miller, 98, of Westminster

Leota F. Miller, 98, of Westminster, died Tuesday, March 18, 2014, at Carroll Hospice's Dove House in Westminster.

Born May 13, 1915, in Patapsco, she was the daughter of the late Osborne and Lillian Weaver Snyder. She was the wife of Parker T. Miller, who died in 2003.

She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church and enjoyed crocheting for Project Linus. She was a regular Thursday night card player and also participated in many of the activities at Carroll Lutheran Village. She also loved cooking and baking for family and friends.

Surviving are nieces Joan England, of Hampstead, Charlotte Yohn, of Reisterstown, Dorothy Reidt, of Shrewsbury, Pa., Betty Blucher, of Florida, Joyce Jordan of Cary, N.C., and Delores Willie, of Edgewood; a great-niece, Lisa Arcuri, of Westminster; and godchild and great-niece Debbie Bosley, of Fawn Grove, Pa.

Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until the time of service, 2 p.m. Sunday, March 30, at the Krug Chapel at Carroll Lutheran Village, 300 St. Luke Circle, Westminster, with the Rev. Jimmie Schwartz officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Wesley United Methodist Church, 3239 Carrollton Road, Hampstead, MD 21074.
