Stepping Stars wins big at dance event

In Baltimore early this February, Stepping Stars Competition Team, instructed by Aleta Held of Freedom Area Recreation Council (FARC), competed against dozens of dance studios from around the state and area for prestigious top honors at Kid's Artistic Revue, a nationally acclaimed competition company, at the Modell Performing Arts Center in Lyric Opera House.

The team came home with Top First Place. The team competed two pieces. One piece performed by the Dazzlers (ages 12-14) and one piece performed by the Starlettes (ages 14-17). Each group was elated to find out that they both won Top First Place along with High Point in both of their divisions.

Stepping Stars Competition Team has three more competitions left this year - BravO! Dance Competition, Nexstar and Beyond the Stars.

Stepping Stars Competition Team is instructed by Aleta Held. The team is open to anyone who loves to dance and is willing to apply themselves.

Stepping Stars Competition Team will be performing in the Stepping Stars Dance Program's annual dance recital of FARC on May 17 at Century High School. The program is currently accepting registrations for the summer dance session. For information regarding recital times or summer dance registration, please contact Selena LaVeck at steppingstars@msn.com.
