James Harry Parker Jr., 88, of Westminster, died Saturday, Feb. 15, 2014, at Golden Living Center in Westminster.

Born April 10, 1926, in Bloomsburg, Pa., he was the son of the late James Harry Parker Sr. and Jennie Hines Parker. He was the husband of Elizabeth Ward Parker, who died Dec. 14, 2004.

He was a Navy veteran, serving from 1944 to 1946. He was a retired installation supervisor for Western Electric.

He was a member of the American Legion Carroll Post No. 31 in Westminster. He enjoyed watching golf and painting. He flew planes in his younger days.

Surviving are children David A. Parker and wife Edith, of Taylorsville, Patricia Wines, of Stewartstown, Pa., and Cheryl Parker, of Union Bridge; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

He was the last of his immediate family.

Services and interment will be private. Interment will be at Lake View Memorial Park in Sykesville.
