G. Kathleen Bentz, 83, of Westminster

Gloria Kathleen Wilt Bentz, 83, of Westminster, died Sunday, Aug. 11, 2013, at home.
Born July 26, 1930, in Marston, she was the daughter of the late Howard D. Wilt Sr. and Nora B. Heiner Wilt. She was the wife of Richard E. "Dick" Bentz, her husband of more than 35 years, who died Jan. 17, 2012.
She was a graduate of Westminster High School, class of 1949. She was a member of St. Matthew's United Church of Christ in Pleasant Valley. She was a life member of the Molesville Farm Post VFW No. 467 Ladies Auxiliary in Westminster; American Legion Carroll Post No. 31 Ladies Auxillary; AMVETS Post No. 7 in Thurmont; and Carroll Hospital Center Auxillary. She was also a member of Westminster Moose Lodge, and VFW Post 6954 Ladies Auxiliary of Littlestown, Pa.
She had worked at the Pleasant Valley Shoe Factory, Westminster Shoe Factory, the English American Tailoring Co. for 35 years, and Carroll County Times evening shift for 15 years before her retirement.
Surviving are sons and daughters-in-law Roger R. Jr. and Mary Bare, and Richard E. and Becky Bare, all of Westminster; a brother, Marvin Wilt, of Carroll County; grandchildren Craig Bare, Jaime Oneil, Christine Bare, Samantha Lowe and Amy Horning; and a great-granddaughter, Aurelia Bare.
She was predeceased by brothers Donald and Howard Wilt Jr.
The family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until the time of a funeral service, 11 a.m. Wednesday at Pritts Funeral Home and Chapel, 412 Washington Road, Westminster, with the Rev. Gerald Hanberry officiating. Interment will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
