Barbara N. Opper, 83, of Owings Mills

Barbara N. Opper age 83 of Owings Mills died Sunday Nov. 25 at Manor Care in Catonsville. Born March 23, 1929 in Baltimore. She was the daughter of the late Samuel and Evelyn Genevieve Lay Norbeck. She was the wife of the late Russell Earle Opper who died in 1994.

Years ago she worked for Hecht Co. in the women's shoe dept.

Surviving are her children, Debra Opper and fiance Hassan Manafikhalesi of Owings Mills, and Kevin Opper and wife Linda of Fruitland. Grandchildren: Genevieve and Nicole Opper both of Owings Mills. Siblings: Louis Leroy Norbeck, Sr. of Jessup, Geraldine Carroll of Glen Burnie and Wayne Norbeck of Baltimore.

She was predeceased by her sister Edith Onsurez.

Interment in Lakeview Memorial Park, Sykesville, MD.

Mary Elizabeth Haifley, 52, of Manchester

Mary Elizabeth "Beth" Haifley age 52 of Manchester. died Wednesday Nov. 21 at the Gilchrist Hospice in Towson. Born June 11, 1960 in Baltimore. She was the daughter of Paul and Josephine McLaughlin Nusbaum, Sr. of Eldersburg. She was the wife of Gregory Lynn Haifley.

She was a baker for Santoni's Market in Glyndon. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Manchester where she was involved with the Linus Project and served on the church council. She was also involved with St. Joseph's Catholic Church C.Y.O.

Surviving in addition to her parents and husband are children: Krista Haifley of Manchester and Brian Haifley and wife Lauren of Churchville. Grandchildren: Corey Haifley, Madison, Kayla and Shawn Pittinger. Siblings: Paul Nusbaum, Jr. of Atlanta, Georgia, Bob and Cathy Nusbaum both of Eldersburg.

Josephine Mary Collins, 88, of Reisterstown

Josephine Mary Collins, 88, of Reisterstown, died on Nov. 16 at Northwest Hospital in Randallstown. She was born on January 17, 1924 in Duluth, MN to the late George and Agnes (nee St. George) Hachey. She was married to the late Joseph F. Collins.

She had worked as a Director at Lackland AFB Daycare.

She is survived by son and daughter in law Samuel J. and Donna Collins of Reisterstown and son Dennis W. Collins of Reisterstown; brother Gerald Hachey and his wife Corkie; grandchildren Dennis Michael and wife Sonya, Melody Collins and Kimberly and husband Andrew Goetz; great grandchildren Owen, Grant, Leah and Noah Goetz. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
